ID TheftProfileOur consultant is a retired law enforcement financial crimes investigator and a current fraud and identity theft investigator. Our consulting service can provide your business with Identity Theft training that the attendees can use to help prevent id theft. On a daily basis, I sit in my office and answer many questions from Identity Theft victims. Most victims of Identify Theft tell me that the police will not do anything about their case. The fact is: Every police department investigator in America is plagued by Identity Theft cases. The police investigator tells you to contact your credit card companies, your bank and to obtain your credit report. Does this stop any additional loss from occurring? Occasionally it does, but usually it does not. Who do you turn to then? Who picks up the pieces? I was one of those investigators and I would tell each victim the same thing you may have been told. Why? Because that was something I could say that would make you feel better and I would move onto the next case. All law enforcement agencies rank their crimes based on the public's prospective of what is most important. I agree that violent crimes need immediate attention and justly so. However, law enforcement administrators do not place the priority, resources and attention that Identity Theft deserves. These crimes don't make the evening news and chances are there is no political gain by solving paper crimes. While statistics vary in Identity Theft, my experience has shown that 3 out of 4 Identity Theft defendants facing criminal charges are given negotiated fines that include probation. In a matter of weeks, he or she is back on the streets turning to what pays, stealing someone's identity. Identity Theft, according to everything you read, gives every indication that it is a crime that has no end. I have discovered that the criminal who once broke into homes to steal your television now breaks in and steals your checks, your credit cards and worst of all, your identity. Laws have been enacted and enhanced to punish the criminals who commit these crimes. The federal, state and local government realize the problem, but Identity theft is still increasing at a rapid rate. Ask yourself this: Who has the solution that will stop this crime? The reality is that no one person can tell you the answer. No, not even me. I have since retired from public law enforcement and have committed my professional life to educating the most vulnerable to this crime, everyone. Yes, since there is no solution I place my belief in educating and informing the public. If you feel that your company, organization or customers might benefit from an Identity Theft Prevention seminar, I invite you to call or email me. My 90-minute seminar includes all the literature and information you will need to protect yourself. During the seminar, I will demonstrate how the criminal steals your identity and I will personally share experiences and interviews that I have conducted with these types of criminals. During the training, attendees will be given resources they can use to help them feel more confident in preventing and dealing with this issue. I can be reached directly by phone or my personal email |
